Huge, ginormous, nasty electrical storm a few days ago – it fried the primary ethernet card in this system. Everything is now limping along, painfully slowly – I can’t even begin to say how much of a cluster this whole thing has been. I’m just about at the point where I bite the bullet and lay out the cash needed to buy three new systems (one each for myself and Sabrina and one for the server). Less and less fun all the time, this has been. Watching the whole network just slowly deteriorate before my very eyes. le sigh.
