We’re far enough off the coast that we’re not under any threat of serious damage, but we’re still getting pretty heavy rains and winds through the day.
When you look outside you realize just how little motivation there is to be had on a day like this.
Our backyard is a lake filled with flowers, a statement that’s more poetic than the reality. The reality is that I always worry that we’re going to kill some of those plants when this happens (though it always seems to drain quickly enough) and that I’m going to have to go sweep some mulch tomorrow.

I’m going to put up some pictures from Italy soon…They won’t be going up all at once, like I’d originally intended, but that means I’ll get to write posts to go along with each.
